Welcome HUSKER FANS to WATNHOME.COM!

WATNHOME.COM is dedicated to the most loyal fans in college football.  Nebraska enters the 2009 season with a record 297 consecutive sellouts at Memorial Stadium. More than 77,000 fans showed up for this year’s spring game. There are Husker Alumni Groups across the country from Florida to Alaska, Minnesota to Texas and everywhere in between. Hundreds of thousands of fans gather throughout the nation every Saturday to cheer on our Huskers.

For those of us that grew up in Nebraska, and those who didn’t, as Husker fans we have rooted for hundreds of players that have come and gone over the years. Frequently, while watching sports, or in my everyday life, I am reminded of one of our Saturday afternoon heroes. As I recall their glory on the gridiron, I am left wondering Where Are They Now? While many of them went on to the NFL, most of them didn’t. What happened once they stepped out of the spotlight of Memorial Stadium or the NFL?

WATNHOME.COM will answer Where Are They Now. I hope some of the stories you find here will cause you to say, “Oh yeah, I remember him”. Some will make you smile, some may not. But most of all, I hope this enhances your enjoyment of being a Husker fan!

When I decided to bring my idea of this website to life, the only way I was going to do it was first class. The articles you find here are actual interviews with former players by a professional journalist done exclusively for this site. I have hired a website development company to help me design and host the site. I want to share this site with Husker fans around the country so you will see advertising for the site in a variety of media. And finally, because none of us have time to search the internet for hours looking for information, I will make it as easy as possible for you to enjoy.  You will receive an email alerting you of new articles posted on WATNHOME.COM.
